Vice President of Laos visits Xesalalong Irrigation Project

On Dec 10, vice president of Laos Boungnang Vorachith visited Xesalalong Irrigation Project undertaken by CGGC. He inspected the progress of the project and greeted the workers.
Accompanied by chiefs of the project, the vice president inspected the key section of the dam and was briefed on the project progress. Satisfied with the project, he wished that CGGC would enhance the communication with the local government and related parties to complete the project as early as possible with high quality, so as to facilitate the social and economic development and infrastructure construction of the country, benefit the local people, and contribute to the friendship and cooperation between China and Laos.

Situated in Savannakhet Province, Xesalalong Irrigation Project is funded with concessional loans from China, undertaken by CGGC Laos Branch, and commenced on March 15, 2012. It is the largest irrigation project under construction in Laos.
