The Champions League group-stage 小組賽階段 draw has taken place with debutants 首次參賽隊(duì) Manchester City drawn 平局 against German side Bayern Munich, Spanish outfit 球隊(duì) Villarreal and Italian club Napoli.

It'll be tough for City to get further in the competition but the club's football administration officer Brian Marwood said that there was excitement from simply being involved:

"It's a fantastic group. It's going to be extremely competitive and I genuinely believe there are four teams that can compete for the two spots on an even keel 平起平坐," he said.

Meanwhile, last season's finalists 進(jìn)入決賽的球隊(duì) Manchester United will take on Benfica, Basel and the Romanian team Otelul Galati in Group C. United's chief executive David Gill spoke to the club's manager Sir Alex Ferguson:

"I got a text from Sir Alex and he is happy, we have a new Romanian team, congratulations to them and we look forward to going there."

Arsenal have an awkward task 為難的任務(wù): they face 面對(duì) Marseille, Olympiakos and Borussia Dortmund. The other English club to qualify for this stage of the competition, Chelsea, were assigned to 為分配到 Group E with Valencia, Bayer Leverkusen and Genk in Thursday's draw in Monaco. They'll be feeling confident about their chances of making it to the knockout stages 淘汰階段.

Elsewhere, Spanish four-time winners and current holders 眼下的優(yōu)勝隊(duì) Barcelona are in Group H alongside 與…一起 seven-time European champions AC Milan from Italy, Belarusian side BATE Borisov - making their second appearance in the competition - and group stage debutants Viktoria Plzen from the Czech Republic.
