Breakthrough developments and innovations

Editor's Note: The State Council Information Office invited five representatives from key private enterprises on Tuesday to share their stories about their pursuit of high-quality industrial development and innovation.
Wang Xingxing, founder and CEO of Unitree Robotics
Our company, founded in 2016, specializes in high-performance quadruped and humanoid robots, with many of our key technical benchmarks ranking among the best in the world. We are already seeing steady progress in sectors such as services, housekeeping, industrial operations, rescue and disaster relief in hazardous environments.
That said, humanoid robots still face challenges that require collective efforts worldwide. It is crucial for all parties to leverage their respective strengths, collaborate to drive technological breakthroughs, and foster the industry's overall growth.
Zhang Bo, chairman of Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group Co Ltd
Our company's core businesses focus is on two traditional manufacturing sectors — textiles and aluminum, but it is now also actively expanding into emerging fields such as new energy, new materials and lightweight automotive components.
In line with the nation's call for high-quality development, our company is pressing ahead with a green and low-carbon transformation. It has relocated part of its production capacity to Yunnan province to take advantage of hydropower, and at the same time installed large-scale photovoltaic facilities to increase the share of green electricity at its plants in Shandong province.
Wang Zhen, president of Inner Mongolia Erdos Investment Holding Co Ltd
I grew up in the factory compound of a cashmere sweater plant, and in 2006, I founded 1436, a high-end cashmere brand. Since taking over the group's cashmere business and other operations, I have been driving the revitalization, reinvention and fashion-oriented upgrade of the Erdos series of brands.
At present, I am working to achieve systematic upgrades across the group's two major sectors — cashmere apparel and power metallurgy. Our cashmere industry is truly unique, as we own 100 percent of our entire value chain. We aim to create a virtuous cycle that contributes to rural vitalization, fosters sustainable industrial development, and enables upstream and downstream enterprises to thrive together in a collaborative ecosystem.
Liu Baiqi, founder and CEO of Galactic Energy (Beijing) Space Technology Co Ltd
In 2018, I decided to start my own business and, together with my team, founded a private rocket company. Our target market centers on low-Earth orbit satellites and internet services.
According to industry data, tens of thousands of such satellites are expected to enter space over the next decade, creating enormous demand for rockets as a unique means of space transportation.
Today, we have become the private rocket company in China with the highest number of launches and the best success rate. The country has been placing increasing emphasis on the development of the private sector, with a steadily improving policy environment that has opened up vast opportunities for us.
In the field of commercial aerospace, more and more private companies are joining the industry, collectively fueling the rapid growth of China's commercial space sector.
Liu Changyun, chairman of Jointown Pharmaceutical Group Co Ltd
I grew up in a rural area and witnessed the need to improve healthcare there. Our company focuses on serving rural and remote regions, operating over 400 logistics centers nationwide, with thousands of local delivery staff. As demand grows, we leverage digital and artificial intelligence technologies to boost efficiency and service. Returns may take time, but strong national support for private enterprises fuels our resolve.
More importantly, meeting the healthcare needs of people in grassroots communities is not only a driving force for our company's growth, but also a core part of our social responsibility. We will keep improving as tech driven transformation is key to building new quality productive forces and core competitiveness in the evolving pharmaceutical landscape.
