A collaborative art exhibition as part of the provincial cultural initiative "Jasmine Blossoms" kicked off on July 11 at the Hailing Art Gallery in Hailing district, Taizhou, Jiangsu province. The exhibition featured works from Haimen district in Nantong, Baoying, a county-level city in Yangzhou, and Hailing district.
Running until July 28, this cross-regional showcase offers a midsummer art celebration for both citizens and visitors.
Ninty percent of the masterpieces on display were created by artists from three generations with diverse themes that reflect contemporary life, natural beauty, and social energy.
"Calligraphy works and painting from different places each have their own unique artistic signatures," said artist Qian Jianhua.
"Hailing's works show thousands of years of cultural reflection, Haimen's art captures the energy of Jianghai Culture, and Baoying's creations display a fluid watery elegance. While each style is distinct, they all speak to a harmonious unity," added Qian.
Aside from offering an exchange platform for artists, the exhibition encourages public interaction with cultural heritage and contemporary creativity through the enduring medium of ink and brush.
