Bilateral political consultations were held under the co-chairmanship of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alibek Bakayev and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye Ay?e Berris Ekinci, DKnews.kz reports.

The parties discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Türkiye, reaffirming their mutual interest in further strengthening political dialogue.

Special attention was given to trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as the expansion of the bilateral legal framework. Diplomats reviewed the status of existing investment projects and expressed readiness to invest in major joint initiatives in the future.

The sides agreed to deepen cooperation in promising sectors such as energy, transport, logistics, finance, agriculture, culture, education, and healthcare.

The diplomats also exchanged views on interaction within the framework of Turkic integration organizations, the United Nations, and other international bodies, and discussed pressing issues on the global and regional agenda.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on a joint action plan for 2025 and committed to continue joint efforts to further enhance the expanded strategic partnership between Astana and Ankara.

In addition, Deputy Minister Bakayev held a separate meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister of Türkiye Nuh Y?lmaz. The diplomats shared views on recent developments in the Middle East and discussed cooperation within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
