A delegation led by Remi Paul, CEO and country general delegate of Safran China, visited Wuxi National Hi-Tech District (WND) on June 27, seeking to deepen ties in the aerospace sector.

Safran is a global leader in high-tech industries, specializing in aerospace, defense, and space. As the world's third largest aerospace company, it is known for its cutting-edge technologies in propulsion systems, aircraft equipment, and flight safety. In China, the group operates several joint ventures, maintenance centers, and training facilities. It maintains close partnerships with the Civil Aviation Administration of China, major airlines, and aircraft manufacturers such as AVIC, COMAC, and AECC.

During the visit, Paul praised WND's industrial strengths and business-friendly environment. He noted that WND's future industry focus aligns closely with Safran's core areas of expertise, such as aero-engine components, aviation materials, and intelligent manufacturing. "China is one of Safran's most important strategic markets," he said. "We are committed to deepening our local footprint through technology transfer, talent development, and supply chain collaboration."

Cui Rongguo, Party secretary of WND, expressed hopes for expanded cooperation among WND, Safran, and WND-based Hyatech. He emphasized the district's goal of enhancing its position in the global aerospace value chain through innovation, lean management, and digital empowerment.

WND is currently home to more than 30 key aerospace companies, with total revenues exceeding 10 billion yuan ($1.4 billion). Hyatech is a leading player, anchoring an increasingly complete local industrial ecosystem.

The district also boasts longstanding ties with France, hosting French giants such as Schneider Electric, Legrand, and Danone. In partnership with Aden Group, WND has launched the China-France (Wuxi) Industrial Cooperation Park to attract world-class projects and further globalize its innovation-driven economy.
