State Grid Changzhou Power Supply Company serves the green-power project

In order to ensure the grid connection and operation of the "tea-solar complementary" power generation project in Jintan district, Changzhou city, Jiangsu province, the State Grid Changzhou Power Supply Company recently inspected the new photovoltaic installation project in Shima village. Collaborating with construction units, local government and other departments, the company successfully completed all project inspections and confirmations.

The project utilizes about 20 hectares of land in Shima village, Xiazhang village and Quanjiang village in Jintan, Changzhou for the construction of the photovoltaic power station, with a total investment of approximately 80 million yuan ($11.14 million). The project adopts the "tea-solar complementary" model for integrated development. Combining the photovoltaic power station with the tea industry, it constructed photovoltaic power stations on tea trees, forming a power generation model of "power generation above, planting below". After the project is put into operation, it is expected to generate approximately 19.5 million kilowatt-hours of power annually, saving about 5,700 metric tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 15,700 tons.

This is the first time in the region that a photovoltaic power station has been built in the mountains using such a method. In order to ensure the smooth grid connection of the project, State Grid Changzhou Power Supply Company has organized various departments to provide on-site consulting services. Company staffs communicate with customers on a daily basis in order to understand the problems encountered in the project and assist in coordinating the project schedule accordingly. Dedicated personnel have also been assigned to closely monitor the implementation of each link of grid connection. As a result, they have promptly established contact with the higher authorities, promoted project acceptance and approval and resolved customer concerns, which has greatly improved the efficiency of photovoltaic power generation grid connection for this project.

In response to the rapid development demands of the photovoltaic industry, State Grid Changzhou Power Supply Company said that it will closely monitor the progress of key projects throughout the year, proactively provide services, and strive to ensure the smooth completion of the "green electricity" project delivery work through pre-planning, mid-term follow-up and late-stage feedback modes. Those efforts will continuously optimize the electricity business environment and promote regional economic development.
