This national intangible cultural heritage, originating from the Fengdu Incense Fair, dates back over 2,000 years to the Western Jin Dynasty (265-316). It thrived during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and reached its peak in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), before being reinstated in 1988, according to the local government.

The event features blessing ceremonies and parades, immersing spectators in the local "Ghost City" folk culture. This display is drawing in millions of residents and tourists.
