Ticket sales for the 2025 Hankook Shanghai E-Prix were officially launched during a news conference held on Wednesday at the Regent Shanghai on the Bund.

This year's Formula E season promises a doubleheader series in Shanghai, accompanied by a myriad of activities for fans to enjoy. Attendees can immerse themselves in interactive fan zones, engage with 22 team drivers, explore the Formula E gaming center, and revel in the upcoming Jupiter Ascending Electronic Music Festival.

A standout feature of this season is the debut of the cutting-edge Formula E race car, the GEN3 Evo. Boasting remarkable acceleration capabilities, the GEN3 Evo can reach 0-60mph (0-100kmh) a staggering 36 percent faster than its predecessor and outpace current Formula 1 cars by an impressive 30 percent.

Alberto Longo, the co-founder and chief championship officer of Formula E, expressed his enthusiasm for bringing the electrifying race to China, emphasizing the nation's pivotal role in the electric vehicle industry. Longo acknowledged the substantial fan base that Formula E has cultivated in China over the past decade, saying, "We owe it to them."

Since its inception in Beijing in 2014, Formula E has remained steadfast in its commitment to promoting sustainability, advancing electric mobility, and fostering innovation in technology. Longo highlighted Shanghai's status as a global hub for various industries, making it an ideal host city for Formula E due to its diverse offerings in science, technology, leisure, sport, entertainment, and business.

The upcoming racing spectacle is set to unfold from May 31 to June 1 at the Shanghai International Circuit located in Jiading district.
