A cool experience for Desmet siblings

"It's an amazing journey, and we're doing it together. And it's nice to be battling on the same day, cheering each other on, then doing these championships together and seeing her thrive. Isn't this wonderful?"
"It's pretty exceptional. So, we're very proud that the whole team has been doing really well over the last few years, making improvements on the ice and around the ice," said Stijn, who also finished with his best worlds 500m result in Sunday's Final A, finishing fourth.
With some other high-profile siblings, such as China's short-track brothers Liu Shaoang and Liu Shaolin, and Italy's freeskiers Flora and Miro Tabanelli, also raring to make their families proud at next year's Games, the Desmets are determined to keep pushing, off the radar, to make their name known on the big occasion.
"We were obviously doing well as a family, as a team," Stijn said. "World championships are always a bit more special. So it was a big goal for us to be at our best here.
"I think we're showing some of our best performances. It's pretty close to the Games, so it's nice to be on this level."
