Big jump in rail passengers over holiday

China Railway Guangzhou Group said it had more than 100 million passenger arrivals and departures during the 40-day Spring Festival travel rush.
The number represents a year-on-year increase of 24 percent over the same period last year, according to the company.
On Wednesday alone, the last day of the travel rush, 1.17 million people traveled on Guangzhou Group lines.
