Andreas Pierotic, trade commissioner of Embassy of Chile in China shared his perspectives on the BRI during a Vision China event in Beijing on Saturday.

"We believe now in a world that is changing, in which there are strong voices against free trade and multilateralism, that the Belt and Road Initiative is the greatest contribution by a single country for economic development in the 21st century," said Pierotic.

The sixth session of Vision China, themed "Belt and Road, Shared Future", kicks off at Beijing Language and Culture University in Beijing on April 27. Vision China is a series of talks organized by China Daily.

The event coincides with the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation held in Beijing on April 25 - 27.
