2. Expectation: 2018 FIFA World Cup

Russia not only has obstacles in the Winter Olympics, but also has concerns for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in June. Several strong football teams will be absent, including the uncrowned king, the Netherlands, and the traditional strong team, Italy. It is a pity for the host country, Russia, as well as for football fans.

However, there are still many strong teams attending, such as Brazil and Germany, despite the absence of the Netherlands and Italy. People are still able to watch the performances of great players, such as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, which also is worth it for the public.
