An Bin, who teaches at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, says he has been mostly nourished by classic Chinese paintings and the tradition of British watercolors. He is inspired by the two distinctive forms of Eastern and Western art to build an attachment to nature.

In his creations, An pays great attention to the nuanced differences in details and the rich variation of colors. His watercolors engage the audience in a spiritual dialog with nature.

An is showing dozens of his watercolors at a solo exhibition at Prince Kung's Mansion Museum through Sunday.
